The Texas Chainsaw Massacre review
Here are my thoughts on Tobe Hopppers the Texas Chainsaw Massacre released on October 11th 1974. This is a great look into the violence in 70s horror movies. This film is very disturbing and vile. It has one of the greatest horror movie icons in leather face. His design and mannerisms are iconic. It has a ton of great practical effects. It does a great job I’m building suspense and tension. The ending will leave you disturbed and uneasy But this movie is still a classic in horror cinema. I really like the use of the documentary style it really give a sense of realism and it just adds to the horror. It harsh and gritty tones really sets this movie different from the rest of the horror movies I’ve seen. It almost feels like this can actually be real and In fact leather face is based on real life serial killer Ed gein. The acting is phenomenal but there are some cheesy parts. The acting really gives a sense of dread and realism especially the final shot. So I’m conclusion I’m going to give The Texas Chainsaw Massacre a 8.5/10.
